New Delhi: In a shocking incident, some of the ‘honourable' MPs of Indian parliament crossed all limits of decency and fought with each other over possession of an ‘office' in parliament.
It so happened that Trinamool Congress MPs wanted their TDP counterparts to vacate their office as it was allotted to them in the new Lok Sabha.
When the TDP MPs refused to vacate the office, a scuffle broke out between the MPs of two parties in the halls of the parliament today.
Trinamool MPs forcibly took the possession of the office and removed the TDP board fixed outside the office.
An angry TDP MPs have complained to the parliamentary affairs minister Venkaiah Naidu and plan to raise the issue with the Lok Sabha Speaker.
Explaining their side of story TDP Office Secretary Satya Narayan said, "The TMC said that Room no 5 has been allotted to them and one of their MPs removed our board.
But we have been allotted a room on the 3rd floor. There must have been a mutual understanding. We'll speak to the Speaker to avoid the confusion."
"The Speaker's office has directed us to take room no. 5. We have 46 MPs but we didn't have any place to sit. TDP has been allotted a room on the third floor, said TMC MP Sudip Bandopadhyay.
