Kolkata: Trinamool Congress (TMC) has said that it will not attend the all-party meeting today convened by Parliamentary Affairs Minister  Venkaiah Naidu.

"TMC not attending this all-party meeting. We are not available at BJP's beck and call. Written a letter recording our point of view," TMC spokesman and Rajya Sabha MP Derek O'Brien tweeted.

He said, "Parliamentary Affairs Minister called all-party meet at short notice on Sunday. Why not working day? Betrays govt panic before Session", O'Brien said.

"Govt has pro-MNC agenda. We have pro-people line. Blackmoney, pollreform, communalism, political vendetta, 100-day hoax. Will raise all,” he said in another twitter post.

On Saturday, Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan held an all-party meeting to ensure smooth functioning of Parliament during the Winter Session beginning Monday.

Briefing the media after the meeting, Mahajan said 18 parties attended the meeting barring the Trinamool Congress, Shiv Sena and the Samajwadi Party.

The Winter Session will begin on November 24 and end December 23. It will have 22 sittings.
