New Delhi: A Trinamool Congress MLA has been caught on camera abusing a district magistrate and threatening to burn government offices.
The video has been widely circulated on social media in which Wilson Champramary , MLA from Kalchini in Alipurduar district, is shown speaking over phone to a government official, yet to be identified.
The video was recorded on June 11 in a gathering in Jaigaon, when Wilson had used abusive words against the district magistrate and threatened to burn the sub-divisional and the Block Development offices.
The legislator also threatened that he will "complain to the CM against the DM".
Wilson was reportedly angry over the demolition of an illegal wall, erected by some encroachers on government land, without informing him.
Reports said that district magistrate Alice Vaz and SDO Samiran Mondal were part of the team that went to the demolition site in Jaigaon in early June.
Sourav Chakraborty, the Alipurduar district Trinamul president, said, "Whatever the MLA has said was undesirable. We do not endorse such reactions against government officials."
