Ranchi: Lalu Prasad has been finally given 5 years jail term in fodder scam by the special CBI court.He has also been asked to pay a fine of Rs. 25 lakh.Former Chief Minister Jagannath Mishra has also been given a jail term of 4 years by the special CBI court in this case.Following is the timeline of Bihar-Jharkhand's infamous fodder scam in which two former Bihar chief ministers Lalu Prasad and Jagannath Mishra have been convicted and sentenced to 5 years and 4 years jail term respectively:January 27, 1996: Scam surfaces. Crores of money from govt treasury given to non-existent companies for supply of fodder in faraway districts like Chaibasa. Sept 30, 2013: Special Judge Pravas Kumar Singh to deliver verdict. Lalu arrives in Ranchi.Sept 30, 2013: Special Judge Pravas Kumar Singh convicts Lalu Prasad, Jagannath Mishra and 43 others in fodder scam.
