Bardoli(Gujarat): Thousands of young men and women turned up to join Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi's Vikas Khoj yatra in Bardoli, the place where Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel launched his famous satyagraha against the British rulers.
Rahul Gandhi landed on Narendra Modi's home turf to take part in the Youth Congress' Vikas Khoj Yatra.
Youth Congress workers carrying party flags shouted "Ra-hul, Ra-hul" in "Mo-di, Mo-di" style.
The Bardoli Lok Sabha constituency in south Gujarat is dominated by trivals, who form a large chunk of the Congress vote base.
Bardoli is represented by Congress leader and minister of state Dr Tushar Chaudhary. Chaudhary has won from here for the last three terms.
