New Delhi: BJP President Amit Shah today attacked Aam Aadmi Party over allegations of dubious funding, saying the party which takes black money will only do ‘black' politics.
“Kali raat me kala dhan lene wali party kali rajneeti hi kar sakti hai (Party which takes black money in the darkness of the night can only indulge in black politics). They had promised that they will recover the blackmoney and now they have been found indulging in similar things,” Shah said addressing a rally in South Delhi's Jangpura area here.
“This election is mainly a contest between two parties— one which fulfils its promises and one which doesn't,” he said, while campaigning in favour of party candidate M S Dhir. Shah also took potshots at Congress President Rahul Gandhi saying he was wearing ‘Italian glasses' and hence can't see the reality.
“Rahul ‘baba' says Pakistani firing used to happen during their regime and happens even now, how has it made any difference? He is wearing ‘Italian glasses' and hence can't see that earlier there was no retaliation from India,” he said.
The BJP chief attacked the erstwhile Congress-led UPA government saying it could not reduce diesel and petrol prices during its 15-year regime but BJP has done it twelve times in eight months.
“Inflation was so high during Manmohan Singh's government but the Modi government has reduced the monthly budget by Rs 1500-4500 of families belonging to every income group,” he claimed.
Shah said when Manmohan Singh visited any country as Prime Minister people never got to know much about it, but when Modi goes abroad thousands of people welcome him. Later, addressing a rally in New Delhi Assembly constituency, he accused AAP of not fulfilling any of their promises.
“Kejriwal had said he will serve the people of Varansi forever, even if he loses elections but he never went back...,” he alleged.
Shah also asserted that BJP has fulfilled its various promises by introducing the Jan Dhan Yojna and forming a Special Investigation Team for recovery of blackmoney stashed abroad.
Seeking votes for BJP candidate from New Delhi, Nupur Sharma, Shah said, “New Delhi constituency has an interesting pattern. Earlier, Dikshit was defeated from here, this year Kejriwal will be defeated.”
