Patna: Tej Pratap Yadav, son of RJD supremo Lalu Yadav, while taking oath as a minister in Nitish Kumar's cabinet on Friday misread Apekshit (expected) as Upekshit (overlooked).
It was only after Bihar Governor Ramnath Kovind corrected him and told him to read the lines again, he realised his mistake and repeated his oath.
Tej Pratap, who turns 28 tomorrow, has settled for a junior role compared to his younger brother Tejaswi, who is likely to take charge as Deputy Chief Minister at 26.
It must be noted that Tej Pratap Yadav has left his studies after completing his intermediate education.
Both the brothers are expected to get plum posts in Nitish's Cabinet, a major compensation for RJD chief Lalu Prasad, who has been barred from contesting elections because of his conviction in a corruption case.
While Lalu's elder son Tej won from the Mahua constituency by a margin of 28,155 votes, his younger son Tejashwi won the Raghopur assembly seat by a margin of 22,733 votes.
