New Delhi, March 14: Leader of Opposition Sushma Swaraj today lashed out at the Centre for its policies relating to Pakistan and Kashmir, and asked: are we here only to pay tributes to martyrs?
Raising the issue of yesterday's fidayeen attack in Srinagar in which 5 CRPF jawans were killed, Sushma Swaraj praised the Dewan of Ajmer Sharif who refused to host the visiting Pakistani prime minister Raja Parvez Ashraf during his pilgrimage last week.
Amidst deafening uproar by PDP and some Congress MPs, Sushma Swaraj asked why the government hosted a lunch to the visiting Pakistani PM in Jaipur.
When some members challenged Sushma Swaraj, she retorted: "I am sorry, please don't challenge us. Let's join hands and challenge Pakistan. This is the time to challenge Pakistan".
"It is sad to find that members here are opposing our call to fight terrorism", the BJP leader said.
"Let this whole House in one voice condemn the fidayeen attack on securitymen in Kashmir", said Sushma Swaraj.
