New Delhi: India today said “continued support” to terrorism from beyond the borders of Afghanistan was a big threat to peace and security of the war-torn country.

External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid condemned last week's attack in Kabul in which 21 people including three United Nations staff and the International Monetary Fund's top representative in Afghanistan were killed.

The Minister also asserted that what Afghanistan faces was not anymore intrinsic tribal differences of ethnic divisions but “terrorism which was receiving continued support from beyond the borders of the war-torn country”, an apparent reference to the militant group based out of Pakistan.

Khurshid was attending the special screening of a documentary ‘Badshah Khan- a torch for peace', a short film on Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan by international award-winning filmmaker T C McLuhan.

Significantly, the screening came barely days after India hosted two crucial international conferences on Afghanistan here.
