New Delhi: BJP leader Dr Subramanian Swamy today openly came out in defence of former Army Chief Gen (Retd) V K Singh saying that India would have handed over Siachen glacier to Pakistan, had Gen Singh not been the army chief.
Addressing a press conference here, Dr Swamy said the former Army Chief has done nothing wrong by ordering the Technical Support Division to carry out covert operations in Pakistan.
”The retired army chief is being persecuted because he joined hands with Narendra Modi at the Rewari rally”, said Dr Swamy.
The former Janata Party chief said, the UPA government's economic policies will lead the country to economic disaster. “The nation is facing shortage of foreign exchange because of fall in value of rupee”.
Dr Swamy alleged that the son of a prominent minister and the son-in-law of a prominent political leader had been “shortselling” sitting in Dubai and Singapore.
