New Delhi: Threatening to initiate legal action against the website that carried out the sting operation against its leaders and candidates, Arvind Kejriwal led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) today termed the sting tapes as ‘doctored'.
The sting carried out by a media organisation, Media Sarkar, was released Thursday and showed AAP leaders, including Shazia Ilmi, candidate from south Delhi's R.K. Puram, accepting donations without proper verification, days ahead of the Dec 4 Delhi assembly polls.
"Last night we were promised by Media Sarkar that they would hand us the raw footage of the stings so that we can examine them, but now have refused. We are convinced that these tapes are doctored," AAP leader Yogendra Yadav told reporters here.
