New Delhi: Congress President Sonia Gandhi, who is being treated for lower respiratory tract infection, is recovering well and her test results are showing progressive improvement, doctors said today.
“The health condition and test reports of Mrs Gandhi were reviewed today morning by treating doctors. Her test results are showing progressive improvement and there is decline in her infection status.

“She is feeling better and her condition is improving. Her medication and breathing exercises will continue and she will remain under observation,” said Dr D S Rana, Chairman, Board of Management, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital here. Gandhi is admitted under the care of Dr Arup Kumar Basu, Senior Consultant and Chairman, Department of Respiratory Medicine in the hospital.
The 68-year-old Gandhi was admitted to the hospital on Thursday evening with lower respiratory tract infection and some breathing difficulty.
