Congress President Sonia Gandhi is on a week-long private visit to the Lakshadweep Islands to celebrate the New Year along with her family, officials said in Bangaram on Friday. .
The UPA (United Progressive Alliance) Chairperson arrived in Bangaram on Thursday from Goa along with her mother Paola Manio, daughter Priyanka Gandhi and son-in-law Robert Vadera.
Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi is also likely to join them, they said. PTI
