New Delhi: Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia today met former President of India Dr A P J Abdul Kalam and discussed plans to revamp the education system in the national capital.
Sisodia sought Kalam's views on improving education in Delhi during the meeting, which was attended by Education Secretary Punya Salila Srivastava.
AAP Government has laid a special emphasis on improving education system ever since it came to power in Delhi. Sisodia, who also holds the education portfolio, had earlier announced his government's decision to have a separate education board and course and curriculum for Delhi.
The ambitious plans of AAP Government to overhaul the education system were shared by Sisodia, in a programme where he said his Government will work for 100 per cent literacy in Delhi and emphasised on upgrading government schools.
