Patna, Apr 7 : A day after a former BJP minister Vijay Goel said the party would contest the next Lok Sabha polls under the leadership of L K Advani and later retracted, filmstar-turned-politician Shatrughan Sinha said today: "No one is a better leader than Advani ji. He is a mature and experienced leader."
Asked about Vijay Goel's remark about Advani, Sinha told mediapersons: "If he (Goel) has said so, then we agree with it. We would like to fight election under Advani ji's leadership,"
"If Vijay Goel has said so, then I don't think he needs to give any explanation", added Sinha.
BJP leadership is presently in a conundrum over whom to project as its next prime ministerial candidate, with party chief Rajnath Singh openly supporting Narendra Modi, but leaving the decision to the party's parliamentary board.
Shatrughan Sinha said: "Advani ji is a statesman. He is a very learned man. No one is a better leader than Advani ji. He is a mature and experienced leader."
