New Delhi: Adarsh Shastri, a grandson of former prime minister Late Lal Bahadur Shastri on Friday joined Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party after chucking his Rs 1 crore-job at Apple.
Adarsh Shastri was head of sales of Apple in western India, based in Mumbai.
He told Economic Times that he was inspired by Arvind Kejriwal and decided to join AAP. "I had a cushy life with a great company, but somehow it did not feel right."
Shastri resigned from his job at Apple in the first week of December. He said he was impressed with Kejriwal's conviction.
His father is former Congress spokesperson Anil Shastri. "I told my father I don't fit in with Congress culture".
