Patna: The launch of 'shabad wapsi' campaign (take back your words) in Patna was deferred today.
Earlier, it was decided that Bihar CM Nitish Kumar and RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav will jointly address the media today to kick-start the campaign which they termed an insult to the people of state.
Reports say that the decision to postpone the press conference was taken after differences on the matter erupted between the two sides.
Also in Patna, Janata Dal (United) workers are demonstrating against the DNA remark made by the Prime Minister during an election rally last month in Muzaffarpur.
Modi, while attacking Kumar, said that it seemed that there was 'some problem with Nitish Kumar's DNA'. He was referring to his constant change of political allegiance.
Kumar has said that under the campaign, nearly 50 lakh people would send their samples to the Prime Minister for DNA test.
"50 lakh people from Bihar will be a part of 'shabdwapasi' signature campaign. We will send samples for DNA test to Modiji," Nitish Kumar said in a tweet.
Assembly elections in Bihar is schedule to take place in October-November this year.
