New Delhi, Oct 14 : A furious Law Minister Salman Khurshid today went to the extent of calling anti-corruption activist Arvind Kejriwal a “guttersnipe”.
After defending himself at a noisy press conference by producing newspaper pictures, clippings and witnesses, Khurshid was speaking to a TV news channel, when the reporter asked why he called Kejriwal a “guttersnipe”.
Khurshid said: “I have used the word guttersnipe consciously. A guttersnipe is worse than an insect, it's a snake that moves in gutters.”
Khurshid used the word “guttersnipe” at least five times in course of his interview.
Reacting to this, Kejriwal said, he would come with more facts on Monday regarding Khurshid's NGO.
Kejriwal said, we will field a handicapped person against Khurshid in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, and if he doesn't resign now, his security will be forfeited in the next polls.
