Ranchi: Congress today claimed that “anti- Modi” wave was sweeping across Jharkhand as Prime Minister Narendra Modi's “tall promises” during Lok Sabha elections had come a cropper.
“There is no Modi-wave. In contrary, anti-Modi wave has begun in Jharkhand because he has failed to do anything after completing 200 days,” former Union tourism minister Subodh Kant Sahay told mediapersons here.
“Modi promised many things, including bringing back black money, and the results are before the people. Modi also spoke on clean Ganga and about bullet trains, but could not do anything,” he said.
The Congress leader claimed that the BJP had to bear the brunt in the ensuing assembly elections in both Jharkhand and Jammu and Kashmir.
Seeking to know why Jharkhand lagged behind despite the BJP having ruled it for maximum period in the past 14 years, Sahay said none of the Union ministers belonging to the BJP come up with any concrete projections in the interest of the state during their electioneering.
