New Delhi: Former Indian cricket team captain and Rajya Sabha member Sachin Tendulkar will tomorrow visit his adopted village Puttamraju Kandrika located in Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh.

Tendulkar already spoke to District Collector N. Srikanth and Joint Collector G. Rekharani, who had sent proposals for developing various amenities and social infrastructure in the village.

Tendulkar will interact with the residents of the village. He intends to use Rs 3.5 crore from his MPLAD funds to develop it into a smart village. Sachin wants to ensure that the village gets 24 hours drinking water, roads, mobile towers, Wi-Fi connectivity, bank, health facility and veterinary hospital with his support.

District administration has made preparations to control the crowd tomorrow, as people are eagerly waiting for Tendulkar's arrival.

Security has been beefed up and the police has issued instructions that only residents of the village will be allowed to stay in the premises tomorrow. Outsiders will not be permitted to enter village for the day tomorrow.

Interestingly, Sachin Tendulkar last year retired on the same day i.e., November 16, from his eventful career in cricket.
