New Delhi: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS)has expressed its unhappiness over Bharatiya Janata party's handling of the Kirti Azad issue.
According to reports, the ideological mentor of the ruling Party has reportedly not endorsed the move to suspend Azad.
Sources say, Sangh was of the view that more earnest effort should have been made to solve the issue as it believes it can turn out to be a political mistake and it seems the party acted in haste succumbing to pressure from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).
Sources also say Sangh believed that the matter could have been resolved amicably,if the party had followed internal democracy.
The issue had nothing to do with the government and the haste with which it has been dealt will give political mileage to BJP's opponents like Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), sources inside RSS said.
Azad, former cricketer and three time MP from Darbhanga was suspended from the party on Wednesday after he allged huger irregularities in DDCA during the tenure of Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley as its head.
Meanwhile, the cricketer-turned-politician has sought time from Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss the issue. Azad said he will present his case before PM Modi and ask how demanding an enquiry into a case of corruption is going against party's ideologies.
