Amethi(UP): Kumar Vishwas, Aam Aadmi Party candidate from Amethi, who is taking on Rahul Gandhi, today lashed out at the RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh), saying its pracharaks have stopped living a life of austerity.
Speaking to mediapersons on way to his Jan Vishwas Rally, the AAP leader said, "gone are the days when RSS pracharks used to eat jungle fruits to work among the trivals in Vanvasi Kalyan Ashrams. Now they wear Rado watches and travel in luxury cars".
"I have seen RSS pracharaks carrying only a single jhola (bag) with their belongings, but nowadays RSS pracharks live plush life and distribute party tickets", he said.
"RSS should protect its austerity and zeal. RSS should return to those days when its teachers used to impart Sanskrit education in Shishu Mandirs, unlike Shishu Mandir teachers like Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank (former Uttarakhand chief minister) who even sold off the banks of holy river Ganga for money", said Kumar Vishwas.
