Ranchi: Jharkhand Water Resources Minister and RJD leader Annapurna Devi today said her party leadership was in touch with leaders of both JMM and Congress to convince them about reviewing the break up of JMM-Congress alliance.
“Though there is little hope, our leader (RJD chief Lalu Prasad) is in touch with them (Congress and JMM) on matters relating alliance,” Devi said.
On October 31, the Congress snapped ties with the JMM, a decision which Chief Minister Hemant Soren had termed as unfortunate.
The Congress added Janata Dal(U) in place of JMM, besides RJD to fight in alliance in the ensuing Assembly elections in the state.
Both the JMM and the Congress have announced their first list of candidates ahead of November 5, the last date for filing of nominations for the first phase of polling scheduled for November 25.
