"The other Nirmalaji is upset. I asked why... because the younger Nirmala is getting money while she is not. I said the older one will get the bigger thing. He (Shivraj Chouhan) is coming on 20th... We will give as per our capabilities. I am a small man, so will give accordingly and he is a big man so he will give accordingly." (the audience clapped)
Referring to his maiden visit to Jhabua in 2004, Shah once again resorted to using a double meaning phrase saying the "first time" cannot be forgotten.
"Can anybody forget the first time? All must have understood. The children understand really well. I will give you a good news now. Girls just move away. On 1st July you will get a present. You will get bags and shoes," Shah said.
Shah now turned towards the chief minister's wife Sadhna Singh.
"One day I took Bhabhiji, Madam CM, for an outing. She asked me where was I taking her. I said, 'come along with me as well sometimes... after all you go with big brother everyday'. I said come along with brother-in-laws as well sometimes.
"If she does not like Shivrajji, then what can I do about it? If I say we need sweaters then he will say have you gone mad, where will so many crores (of rupees) come from? But if I explain it to Bhabhiji, she would tell Bhaiya in no uncertain words that if the children don't get sweaters then she would surely make him feel cold too."
Throughout his sexist rant, Shah kept laughing, using double meaning words to denigrate women and then winked, all in the presence of a woman collector and teenage girls.
