He also presides over Board of Governors of Scindia School in Gwalior which was established by Jyotiraditya's great-grandfather late Maharaja Madho Rao Scindia in 1987. The school was termed as one of the finest schools boys in India in 2004 by a magazine.
Scindia married Priyadarshini Raje Scindia in 1994 and the couple has two children, a daughter and a son.
Priyadarshini hails from the Gaekwad Maratha royal family and her mother from the royal family of Nepal. Priyadarshini was sent to Fort Convent School and to Sophia College for her further education.
Known for her style statement, Priyadarshini found a place in the Verve's "Best dressed - 2008" hall of fame list. Last year, she was included in India's 50 most beautiful women list by Femina.
She is a member of the governing board of the Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya, a school that was established by the Scindias.
