Jaipur: Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje has said her government is trying to restart the “wheel of development,” which had stopped moving forward during the previous Congress government in the state.
“The wheel of development had stopped moving forward during the previous Gehlot rule, now the new BJP government is trying its best to restart it,” Raje said at a public meeting yesterday.
“Our government is at your doorstep with specific programmes to redress public grievances initiated to get the ground reality of government schemes and to know the problems of the people,” the Chief Minister said.
Raje, who is on a whirlwind tour with her government machinery in Udaipur after the Independence Day parade, has visited many villages.
The Chief Minister also visited tribals staying in hilly regions, an official release said here today. Addressing a camp at Khairwada, she expressed concern over receiving complaints from villagers with regard to immutation process not being started by ‘patwaris'.
Raje directed that in case of death in a family, ‘patwaris' should go to the dependents of the deceased and start immutation process at their home.
Action against patwari and tehsildar will be taken if immutation were not started in a fixed time period, she said.

While addressing women here, Raje elaborated on the newly-launched “Bhamashah” scheme saying, it had made women the head of the family and everyone must make their cards. Where there are no banks, the Bhamashah account would be opened at home but for this, women have to get connected to the scheme, she said.
Raje also made a surprise inspection of Kasturba Gandhi Girls Residential school at Dhol ke party village situated at Girwa Panchyat samiti in Udaipur district.
