Jaipur: Congress in Rajasthan today took a decision authorising Congress President Sonia Gandhi to choose candidates from the state for the Lok Sabha elections.
In the meeting headed by the new PCC chief, Sachin Pilot, the state committee passed a resolution confirming the decision, a party spokesperson said.
Besides, the PCC also discussed issues related to organisational strengthening ahead of the Lok Sabha polls, the spokesperson said.
The meeting was attended by party in-charge for the state Gurudas Kamat, former state chief minister Ashok Gehlot, CLP leader Rameswar Dudi, and other senior leaders.
There 20 Congress 20 MPs, four BJP MPs and one Independent MP in the Lok Sabha.
