"Here in UP, the government is distributing computers, but these computers don't run. The UP government is a government of computers, but ours (UPA) is a government of rights. We gave the right for food to the poor, right for job to the poor, and right for information to the common man", said Rahul Gandhi.
Rahul Gandhi said, it was only the UP government which has opposed the Food Security Bill, and told voters that it was only in UP that the poor won't get foodgrains at one rupee a kilo. "They will be badly thrashed in the elections. All of you, pressurize your government to implement it", he predicted.
"SP and BSP can never change Uttar Pradesh. It's the Congress which can change this state", said Rahul Gandhi. "Tell me, am I right or wrong", asked Gandhi, and the audience roared in approval.
Referring to Muzaffarnagar riots, Rahul Gandhi said, boths Hindus and Muslims told us, they had no enmity and it was the politicians who encouraged riots.
