“The youths got compelled to migrate to other states for employment. And they got shelter in states like Maharashtra which were ruled by the Congress,” he said.
“Our dream is to revive the old glory of Uttar Pradesh, particularly places like Allahabad and Phulpur, and transform these stagnant places into hubs of manufacture. I aim at achieving that stage when not just I but even the US President proudly dons a wrist watch that is manufactured in your city,” Gandhi said.
“Notwithstanding the diatribe of the opposition, Congress will win and take the country forward as it has been doing in the past. It is not for nothing that US President Barack Obama has openly stated that he looks at China and India as potential challengers,” Gandhi said.
