The NSUI states further that Suraj Thakur had been suspended on the grounds of indiscipline.
"The organization won't tolerate any form of indiscipline; stringent actions will be taken up," reads another messages posted on Tuesday morning.
Thakur reportedly first gained prominence after he led protests against the book of Rajiv Gandhi's alleged killer AG Perarivalan in May 2011. He had also organised a demonstration against BJP leader LK Advani later that year in November.
