New Delhi: Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi today lashed out at the Narendra Modi government over net neutrality issue saying 'it was trying to distribute internet among big industrialists'.
Specking for the second time on the floor of Lok Sabha in last three days, he said, "Over 1 million people are fighting for net neutrality and the government is trying to carve out the net and hand it over to the corporate."
He also pitched for an amendment or a new law to ensure net neutrality.
"I would request government to stop TRAI's decision. Please change the law or write a new law on net neutrality," Rahul said.

The Amethi MP earlier moved a notice in Parliament for a discussion on the topic. He had demanded suspension of Question Hour session to take up an issue.
The issue of net neutrality has triggered a raging debate since December 2014, after telecom operator Airtel announced that it would charge separately for using VoIP services like Skype and Viber over its data plans.
Yesterday, a strong plea was made in the Lok Sabha for ensuring net neutrality with demands that the recent consultation paper brought out by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) should be scrapped and attempts by certain telecom and internet service providers be scuttled.
Concerns over net neutrality could be gauged from the fact that the TRAI has got a million emails since it has come out with the consultation paper.
