Davanagere, Jun 3: Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi today appealed the party workers to work unitedly to come back to power in Karnataka.

Rahul, who arrived here from Hubli this morning as part of his two-day visit to the state, interacted with members of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC), DCC and Block Congress Committee presidents.

During his 60-minute interaction with the members, he took their questions on various issues including, strengthening the party at the grass root level.

Alleging that during the general elections some party workers had indulged in defeating the official candidate of the party, the members urged Rahul to announce the name of the candidates six months prior to the polls.

Rahul appealed the leaders not to discriminate between senior and juniors for party work.

Those present on the occasion included KPCC president G Parameshwara, party Karnataka incharge Madhusudan Mistry, Union Ministers Veerappa Moily and Mallikarjun Kharge.
