Hyderabad: A special CBI court here today ordered issuance of summons against YSR Congress chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy and India Cements MD N Srinivasan besides other accused in connection with the case pertaining to quid pro quo investments in companies of Jagan.
The court took cognisance of the sixth chargesheet filed by CBI against Jagan and others on September 10 and ordered for issuance of summons with a direction that all the accused in the chargesheet should appear before it on November 1.
The sixth chargesheet relates to the issue of India Cements, represented by its Vice-Chairman and Managing Director N Srinivasan, making alleged quid pro quo investments to the tune of Rs 140 crore into the companies of Jagan, and consequent “undue” benefits received by India Cements in the issues of allocation of lease of land, allocation of water from rivers Krishna and Kagna.
