New Delhi, Sep 16: CPM general secretary Prakash Karat met Nepal Maoist leaders at a time when they were underground and the Indian government considered them terrorist, reports Nepalese newspaper ‘Drishti Vernacular Weekly'.
But Karat was not the only Indian present in the meeting. The meeting was also attended by Indian intelligence agents with Pushpa Kamal Dahal "Prachanda" and Baburam Bhattarai right after the royal palace massacre in 2001.
The allegations against Prachanda, the chairman of the Unified Communist Party of Nepal (Maoists), and Bhattarai, the vice-chairperson, UCPN(M) and current Prime Minister has been made by Bharat Dahal, ex-Maoist and leader of Nepal's Rashtriya Janamorcha Party, in the article published on 7 August 2012.
Prakash Karat, however, has denied that he was present at the meeting.
