Portfolios allocated to three Arunachal Pradesh ministers

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Nabam Tuki has allocated portfolios to the three newly inducted ministers in his cabinet.Rajesh Tacho, Wanglin Lowangdong and Thangwang Wangham were inducted yesterday to the council of ministers.

Governor Lt Gen (Retd) Nirbhay Sharma administered oath and secrecy of office to them in a simple ceremony held in the Darbar Hall of the Rajbhawan here in presence of Tuki, his cabinet colleagues, MLAs and senior civil and police officials.

Tuki also dropped Health & Family Welfare Minister Kalikho Pul from the cabinet.

While Tacho was allocted the portfolio of Health & Family Welfare, Lowangdong got the Women & Child Development, Social Justice & Employment, Parliamentary Affairs and important Department of Tirap, Changlang and Londing (DoTCL).

Thangwang Wangham was allocated Civil Aviation, Science & Technology besides Supply & Transport.

Tacho was the former UD & Housing minister, Lowangdong served as the Speaker of the state assembly while Wangham served as the Parliamentary Secretary for IPR and Printing.

Tacho represents Anini constituency in Dibang Valley district, Lowangdong is the MLA from Borduria-Bogapani constituency in troubled Tirap district and Wangham represents Longding-Pumao in Longding district.

This is the second expansion of the ten-month-old Nabam Tuki ministry after May last when nine ministers were inducted including new face Takam Pario.

Tuki was sworn in as the eight chief minister of the state on may 18 last for the second consecutive term after ruling Congress won 42 seats, including 11 uncontested, in the April 9 assembly polls.
