New Delhi, Apr 12: Public outburst of anger has been a common phenomenon of late. People have been seen throwing shoes at politicians as a token of hatred. The latest such incident was seen at a public gathering where a shoe was thrown at former Pakistan president Pervez Musharraf. Similarly there have been politicians all over the world who have been victim of public's anger. Here is the list. 1. Pervez Musharraf: A shoe was tossed at Pervez Musharraf by a lawyer at Karachi court on March 29th. This was done to express annoyance which the lawyer's mother had developed after the Lal Masjid operation in 2007. 2. Sharad Pawar: Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar was slapped by a young lad to express fury over pricerise. 3. Anna Hazare: A shoe was flung at Anna Hazare at a rally in Dehradun. It was to oppose Anna's ``only one slap' statement after Sharad Pawar was slapped. 4. Arvind Kejriwal: A shoe was thrown at social activist Arvind Kejriwal at a public meet in Lucknow. 5. Suresh Kalmadi: The chief organizer of Commonwealth Games too had to face public fury. A shoe was thrown at Kalmadi while he was on his way to Patiala Court in connection with a Commonwealth Games case. 6. P Chidambaram: A shoe was thrown at P Chidambaram by Dainik Jagran journalist Jarnail Singh. It was done as a consequence of Chidambaram's refusal to discuss Jadgdish Tytler's involvement in 1984 Sikh riots. 7. B S Yeddyurappa: A slipper was thrown at KJP leader Yeddyurappa during a rally in 2009. 8. Sukh Ram : The former telecom minister was attacked outside Rohini Court after his proven involovement in 1996 telecom scam. 9. Wen Jiabao: A shoe was tossed at former Chinese premier Wen Jiabao by a student during his visit to Cambridge University. 10. George Bush: A shoe was chucked at former American president George W Bush by an Iraqi journalist Muntadar al-Zaidi during a press conference in Iraq. 11. Manmohan Singh: A shoe was thrown at Prime Minister Manmohan Singh by an engineer during an election rally in Ahemdabad in 2009. However, the shoe did not hit the prime minister. It was later discovered that this action was a mere publicity stunt.
