Lucknow, May 8: Former BJP leader K N Govindacharya today favoured bringing the Prime Minister's office under the ambit of the Lokpal Bill and asked all parties to unite when it came to upholding values.
Though members of the draft committee are in a fix on bringing PMO within the ambit of the Lokpal legislation, personally, I feel it should also be covered, Govindacharya told reporters here.
"As the PM is also a member of the cabinet and there are a number of departments under him, his office should also be covered by the bill," he added.
Demanding that black money deposited in foreign banks should be declared as national asset, Govindacharya said that workers of Rashtravadi Morcha would observe fast across the country on May 10 over the issues of corruption and black money.
The leader, who is convener of the morcha, said that he would observe fast at Julelalpark in Lucknow. PTI
