New Delhi: Hours before leaving for Paris to attend the 'UN Climate Change Conference', Prime Minister Narendra Modi talked about climate change in his monthly radio address 'Mann ki Baat'.
He stressed on the need for conservation of energy to check global warming and promotion of solar energy.
He also said that the best way to make sure that Earth's temperature does not further increase, is to conserve energy.
"The world is concerned about climate change. Climate change, global warming are issues of discussion and concern. Earth's temperature should not further increase; this is the responsibility of everyone. The best way to make sure that earth's temperature does not increase further is energy conservation," Modi said.
The Prime Minister also highlighted many government schemes to help conserve energy, specifically mentioning easier and cheaper to access LED bulbs.
He said that street lights should be turned off on full moon days and everyone should bask in the moonlight.
