2. Shinzo Abe hugs PM Narendra Modi
It was a picture perfect moment for shutterbugs when Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Japanese Premiere Shinzo Abe warmly embraced each other in Kyoto in August last year.
Instead of customary handshake, the two leaders opted for more personalized way and hugged each other at the state guest house.
Interestingly, since Chief Ministerial days, Narendra Modi and Japanese premiere share cordial relationship, which revived again when both met as Prime Minister of the two powerful Asian countries.
In his first overseas tour to a major country as Prime Minister, Narendra Modi sealed $35 billion in investment over five years and an enhanced “special” strategic and global partnership between India and Japan.
