New Delhi: After wrapping up his three-day trip to France, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today headed to Germany where business and technology will be the focus of his engagements.

During his stay here, Modi will meet German Chancellor Angela Merkel and inaugurate world's largest fair of capital goods and technology, Hannover Fair. Merkel will receive Modi when he arrives at the Hannover trade fair grounds today evening.

Around 120 top executives from India as well as several representatives of Germany's business and industry are expected to join the two leaders for the dinner. This will be the largest participation so far by Indian companies at the Hannover Fair.

The two leaders are also scheduled to address the gathering at the Hannover Congress Centre.

Marco Siebert, one of the managers of the event, said, "We can expect a lot of things. You can expect the biggest industry platform in the world. We expect over 6,000 exhibitors and two hundred thousand visitors from 100 countries. It is an bilateral dialogues between industries, politicians, associations etc."

The Prime Minister is also scheduled to unveil a bust of Mahatma Gandhi in Hannover. 

Modi is also likely to meet freedom fighter Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose's grandnephew Surya in Berlin on Monday. 

On Tuesday, Modi and Merkel will have detailed talks in Berlin. Their discussions will focus on matters of bilateral relations as well as global and regional issues of mutual interest. They will wind up their discussions by addressing a joint news conference in the afternoon.
