Etawah: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav yesterday said that his government has fulfilled the promises made by his party in the Assembly polls but people are still waiting for Prime Minister Narendra Modi led government at Centre to start the process of fulfilling them.
"Our government fulfilled the promises made by the party... work is on in the Samajwadi pension scheme... farmers have got free water, free medical aid has been provided... but people kept waiting and not a single promise made by Modiji was fulfilled in the 100 days," Mr Yadav told reporters in Etawah.
"People should also look at the works of others along with ours...people have restored their faith in Samajwadi Party government in the by polls," he said.
The Chief Minister, who also inspected the lion safari, said that an elephant park will also come up in Etawah and the place will soon come up on the tourism map of the country.
"Earlier, Etawah was known for the Chambal ravines and dacoits but now it will be known for Netaji Mulayam Singh Yadav and lion safari," he said, expressing confidence that foreign tourists coming to Agra and Varanasi will also come to Etawah to see the lion safari.
