New Delhi, March 20: Parliament was disrupted again Wednesday as the Samajwadi Pary sought the resignation of Steel Minister Beni Prasad Verma, while DMK and AIADMK membres raised the Sri Lankan issue.

Both houses were first adjourned till noon amid ruckus, with members from Samajwadi Party (SP), DMK and AIADMK targeting the government.

When the Lok Sabha reassembled at noon, SP members were again on their foot demanding Verma's ouster from the government.

The SP was backed by Leader of Opposition Sushma Swaraj, who said the minister should resign immediately.

The chair then adjourned the house till 12.30, and then for the day.

The Rajya Sabha meanwhile also saw vocal protests by members of the three parties who trooped near the chairman's podium.

Renuka Choudhary, who was in chair, adjourned the house till 2 p.m. It was then adjourned till 3 p.m. and then for the day as members continued to create a ruckus.

The upper house has to pass the general budget before the parliament goes on a break March 22.

The anti-rape bill, which was passed by Lok Sabha Tuesday, is also pending for Rajya Sabha's approval.

The SP has demanded Verma's resignation after he publicly rebuked its leader Mulayam Singh Yadav.

SP members have alleged that Verma said Yadav receives a "commission" for supporting the government at the centre.

Earlier, at a rally in Gonda, his constituency in Uttar Pradesh, Verma had allegedly said that Yadav had links with terrorists.

The DMK and AIADMK want India to take a hard line vis-a-vis Sri Lanka at the UNHRC meet in Geneva.
