New Delhi: Attacked by BJP and government for trying to "sabotage" the GST Bill by disrupting Parliament on the National Herald case issue, Congress Wednesday said it was waiting for revised formulations and the government has not given anything so far.

Former Finance Minister P Chidambaram told reporters after meeting Congress President Sonia Gandhi that there is a lot of "misinformation" about the GST Bill and the stand of Congress.

"I have discussed the GST Bill with the Congress President and the Vice President. Let me make it clear. We have three major concerns with the present Bill. We have given our formulations on the three issues to the government. Government gave its views at the meeting called by the Prime Minister and attended by Mrs Sonia Gandhi and Dr Manmohan Singh.

"We promised to reflect on the matter. Government promised to reflect on our concerns and come up with revised formulations. We are waiting for the revised formulations. We have not been given anything so far. Let the revised formulations come," Chidambaram said.

Congress is opposed to the Goods and Services Tax Bill in its present form. It has demanded that a cap of 18 per cent should be put on GST and the rate should be entered in the Constitution Bill, dropping of a proposal to have a one per cent additional tax on inter-state movement of goods and has sought a redressal mechanism for resolving complaints of states.

Senior ministers have attacked Congress in the last two days accusing the party of paralysing Parliament on the National Herald case issue among other things for derailing government's economic reforms, one of whose major component is the GST Bill.
