Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today termed BJP's manifesto as “mere sloganeering” and said issues like Common Civil Code, Ram temple and Article 370 are handles for the party to come to

It is almost like we are being asked to vote for a dictatorship of an individual and that individual is hell bent on revenge which is clear from his right hand man who has let the cat out of the bag perhaps by mistake,” he said.

Omar criticised the saffron party over its poll slogan ‘Ab ki baar, Modi sarkar', promoting a Modi led government, saying it neglects the contribution of others working for the party.

“We are tired of this slogan. And why Modi only? As if Modi had to form the government alone.

Had it been ‘Ab ki bar NDA' or ‘Ab ki baar BJP', (This time NDA or BJP) I would have accepted. If I had been in BJP or NDA I would have been very much pained by this slogan as it neglects the contribution of all the others and just one man is being promoted,” he said.

The Chief Minister also denounced the Gujarat development model, terming it a “smokescreen”.
