Srinagar: Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah suggested that ex-servicemen should accept the terms and conditions of One-Rank-One-Pension scheme likely to be announced by the Centre today than get nothing in return.

"With an imminent #OROP announcement is it time to remember #Confucius who said 'better a diamond with a flaw than a pebble without'?" Omar wrote on micro-blogging site twitter.

The possibility of an announcement was being talked about in official circles, although ex-servicemen maintained that there was no agreement on revision of pension.

The ex-servicemen have indicated that they may accept a revision every two years but the government has been insisting that equalisation will happen once in five years.

The veterans, who have been agitating for the last 83 days, said they will not accept review of the pension after every five years.
