Patna, Jan 19 : Rashtriya Janata Dal supremo Lalu Prasad today said there was nothing wrong in giving a greater responsibility to Rahul Gandhi in the Congress party.
Speaking to India TV, Lalu Prasad said, BJP is trying to project Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi as its prime ministerial candidate. “Likewise, Congress wants to give Rahul greater responsibility. It's their party matter and there is nothing wrong in it”, he said.
On Rahul's lack of experience, Lalu Prasad said, “when I took over the reins of Bihar in 1990, I was inexperienced.”
Lalu sidestepped a question whether he foresees a straight contest between Modi and Rahul Gandhi as prime ministerial candidates in the 2014 Lok Sabha polls.
