Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh Singh on Monday  said he had no problems with party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav, but was unhappy with his cousin Ram Gopal Yadav who, he alleged, had abused him before the media.

"I have no problems with Mulayam Singhji. But, I have been pained by public comments of Prof. Ram Gopal Yadav who has abused me on TV channels," Singh on a visit to his native district Azamgarh told mediapersons in  Azamgarh.

He also alleged Ram Gopal had abused film personalities who had whole-heartedly campaigned for the party in the past. "There very film personalities had sweated it out while campaigning for the SP in elections," said Singh who recently quit all key party posts.

"If they (film actors) were so bad, why were they given party posts and tickets for contesting elections?" he asked. Singh, however, heaped praise on Mulayam describing him as a "brave commander" saying this quality had catapulted him to the post of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister thrice.

"Mulayam should not worry about an injured soldier like me and move head," said Amar who was welcomed all along the route by his supporters as his cavalcade moved on.

To a question on whether there was a revolt over him, Singh said he had not resigned from the party.  PTI
