New Delhi, Mar 20: In the backdrop of DMK withdrawing support to UPA, BJP today said it has no plans to bring a no-confidence motion in Parliament against the government.

"There is no need for it. The government has lost people's trust. It will fall on its own," BJP Vice President Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi told reporters here when asked whether his party was planning to bring a no-confidence motion.

He said the Congress-led UPA government was surviving on borrowed support and its continuation was not in the interest of the nation.

"Continuation of this government is not in the interest of the nation. This government, which is trying to survive on borrowed support from here and there, is definitely not in the interest of the country," Naqvi said.

DMK had yesterday withdrawn support to the UPA government over the Lankan Tamils issue.
