Krishnagar (WB), Apr 17: No development has taken place in Railways in the last two years apart from renaming of some stations after Mamata Banerjee took over the Railway ministry, West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee said today.

"No development has happened in Railways in last two years. No new rail track was laid. Only the names of some stations were changed," he told a poll rally here."What Mamata Banerjee says that there have been a lot of development in Railways is wrong," Bhattacharjee said.

The chief minister also criticised Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee for their alleged attempts to invest provident fund money into the share market.

"They want to use the money in provident funds in share market. If the share market collapses, the pensioners will get into trouble. We will oppose it," he said.Claiming that the Left Front will come to power, he said that Trinamool Congress is creating trouble in West Bengal."Wherever Trinamool is there, terrorism exists. If they come in power, it will destroy West Bengal," the chief minister claimed. PTI
