Patna: Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar will launch a 'shabdwapasi' campaign against Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'DNA' remark made during a rally in Bihar last month.
According to Nitish Kumar, around 50 lakh people, as part of this campaign, are expected to send their DNA samples to Prime Minister Modi for testing.
Chief Minister, in a sries of tweets today, said that at least 50 lakh people of Bihar will participate in the "shabdwapsi" campaign and send their DNA samples to the Prime Minister for testing.
"Inspite of our repeated pleas, Modiji hasn't retracted his derogatory remarks on our DNA. We're going to launch a ' shabd wapasi' campaign against him," tweeted Nitish Kumar on Monday.
"50 lakh people from Bihar will be a part of 'shabdwapasi' signature campaign. We will send samples for DNA test to Modiji," Nitish Kumar said in another tweet.
First phase of 'shabdwapasi' campaign will start on Tuesday and will be concluded with 'Swabhimaan rally' to be held at Patna's Gandhi Maidan on Augsut 29.
The second phase of this campaign will be launched in September, Nitish Kumar tweeted.
Kumar had written an open letter to PM Modi urging him to take back his DNA remark that he made during a a rally in Muzzafarpur on July 25.
Prime Minister Modi had said that it seemed that there was "some problem with Nitish Kumar's DNA", referring to his constant change of political allegiance. Nitish later termed the DNA remark as an "insult" to people of Bihar.
